Ingredients: Cashew

A light brown, kidney-shaped seed sourced from the tropical cashew tree. Raw cashews are creamy and nutty.

Central America and South America.

Portuguese explorers brought the cashew from Brazil to Goa in 1560. It thrived, further spreading through the Indian subcontinent, Southeast Asia, and Africa.

The cashew nut shell has three layers. Removing the nut is a labor-intensive process.
