Ingredients: Fennel

A leafy green root vegetable with a white bulb. It has a distinct flavor closely resembling licorice. 

Native to southern Europe and Southwestern Asia

Fennel likely spread to North America and Australia through the colonization of these continents by the British. 

Fennel has a long history of medicinal uses, but today is used in herbal medicine to treat stomach pains and chills.
