Ingredients: Lemon

A citrus fruit with a yellow, porous exterior and a lighter yellow interior. The inside fruit is sour, tart, and acidic.

Undetermined, though it is suspected to have originated in northwestern India.

Traders from the Middle East were essential to the spread of lemons throughout Asia, the Middle East, Northern Africa, and Europe beginning around the 7th century CE.

Citric acid comprises about 5% of the weight of lemons.
