Ingredients: Lettuce

A leafy green salad green; a vegetable, that grows in numerous varieties.

Most likely the Middle East and Mediterranean region. Egyptians are credited with first cultivating lettuce.

Lettuce spread through Europe as empires rose and fell. First, the Egyptians cultivated it, then the Greeks, then the Romans who popularized it throughout their empire. 

The crew of the International Space Station grew their own lettuce in outer space in 2015.
