Ingredients: Olive Oil
An oil that is made from olives. It has an earthy aroma and sometimes a fruity flavor.
Unknown, though archeological sites point to Mediterranean Europe and/or the Middle East.
Spanish missionaries planted the first olive grove in California in the latter half of the 18th century. The oil was first produced commercially in the early 1800s.
The color of olive oil can range from pale yellow to golden or greenish, depending on the quality and age at which the oil was extracted from the fruit.
