Ingredients: Onion

Edible bulbs that are pungent in aroma and flavor. They grow in multiple layers within the bulb. 

Unknown, but they may have evolved in southwestern Asia. 

Romans spread the onion throughout Europe.

Onions can be yellow, brown, white, red, or purple. They also vary in shape (globe, spindle, and flat).
