Ingredients: Pig/Pork

A large, domesticated, hoofed animal. Pork is the meat of the pig and is sold commercially in a variety of cuts and products. It is slightly sweet and mild in flavor depending on the cut/product.

Domestic pigs are descendants of the Eurasian wild boar (Sus scrofa). Wild and domestic pigs are native to Asia and Europe.

Christopher Columbus brought pigs to the Americas in 1493.

Pork products typically come from pigs between the ages of six months and one year.
