Edible seeds that come from pine trees. They are mild in flavor, but some taste bitter notes.
Pine nuts are native to North America, South America, Europe, the Middle East, Australia, and Asia.
Shell remains of the pine nut have been found in Nevada that date back to the North American Indians 6,000 years ago.
