Ingredients: Raisin

Dried grapes. They have a sweet, concentrated flavor and are often dark purple or golden in color.

Grapes are found in many temperate climates in the Northern Hemisphere. Humans began cultivating grapes as early as 6500 BCE.

The first raisin grapes were introduced to California in 1851. California is now the world’s largest raisin producer.

Dried grapes are mentioned in the Bible (Numbers 6:3 and Samuel 25:18).
