Ingredients: Rice

A type of edible seed that grows from grain plants. There are different varieties of rice, including black, white, brown, wild, long grain, and short grain, among others. 

There are native species of rice in Asia, Africa, the Middle East, and South America

European colonists introduced Asian rice to the Americas in the 1520s. 

Rice is typically categorized by shape and size; short, medium, and long grain. Brown rice is often recommended for its vitamins and fiber.
