Family Story

Born and raised in Romania, my grandmother made this bread once every three days. This was our daily bread. We had it with all the meals, but best was warm with a slice of cold watermelon. Here in the US, I make the same bread for my family. There is not one single time that it doesn’t make me think of my family in Romania.

Warm up the water and mix with sugar yeast, and 4tbsp of flour. Put it aside for ten minutes then mix in the oil a d slowly add the flour and stsrt kneading until a soft dough. Let it rise for 1-2 hours or until the dough doubles in size. Bake at 350F for 30-45 min or until golden.
