Makes four layers, two with fruit and two with nuts. For raisin layer cream butter and sugar, add yolks, raisins, citron, flour and Brandy. Put in 2 greased layer cake pans and bake aofft 350 for 30 minutes.
For nut layer, cream together sugar and butter. Add flour and stiff egg whites, and mix with chopped nuts. Place in 2 greased layer pans and bake for 30 minutes in 350 oven.
For filling and Frosting, mix boiling water, sugar and salt. Add to egg whites, continue beating in double boiler over boiling water for about 6 minutes. Remove from heat and beat for about two minutes, adding flavor and food color to produce pink.
To assemble cake alternate layers beginning with raisin on bottom, adding frosting between each layer, the frost top and sides.
