Build a fire. Fry the bacon in a skillet; while it is cooking, slice the onion and chop the apple. Remove the bacon and pour off the extra fat. Fry the onion in the remaining fat, tossing occasionally, until the slices are translucent. Add the apple and fry until hot, but not mushy. Crumble the bacon and mix it with the onion and apple.
